What is My Last Round of Golf?
My Last Round of Golf was created by two long time friends, AJ Kuemmel and Alec Dietz. They have played golf together for the past ten years and decided it was time to make some improvements. And what better way to improve their game than watch themselves play their last round of golf, having a camera follow them around the course, recording each swing they take.
They are watching their tapes just like pro athletes do, but these tapes are less SportsCenter and more a cringe-y middle school tape of the talent show audition. The only way to get better at something is to become more self aware, and having a camera follow you around the course is an excellent way of becoming aware of your golf game. Trust them, they know.
By watching their last round, they are able to learn … Learn from every shanked shot into the woods. Learn from each bladed chip across the green. And learn from every short putt that somehow turns into a three putt really quickly. That is the purpose of My Last Round of Golf, for AJ and Alec to learn from their mistakes and grow to become better golfers.
Let's learn a little bit more about our friends….
AJ Kuemmel started his love affair with the game of golf over twenty years go. His father introduced him to the game at ten years old and he has not looked back since. Starting with a set of Walmart clubs, he learned the ropes on the local municipal course, playing from the fairway instead of the tee box. Now he is in his thirties and playing as much golf as he can. He has gone through a couple sets of clubs since his start and thankfully can now play from the white and blue tees instead of needing to start in the fairway.
Alec Dietz found his love of golf in his early twenties while working for a sporting goods store. After spending time learning about golf, he became enthralled with the sport. He bought a set of clubs and started playing immediately. His love of the game grew very quickly, along with his abilities. The sport has become his life and he has focused his career on the golf industry. If you need help with your swing or with your clubs, Alec is the man to help you fix whatever you may need for your game.
Come along with AJ and Alec on their journey of game improvement. You may be a better player than them, you may be a worse player than them, or you may be right where they are. Players of all skill levels will enjoy listening along as they watch, recap, and cringe at their last round.
